Mr. Abbott joined Success Academy in 2016 as an assistant principal at SA Hell’s Kitchen and SA Rosedale. Prior to becoming a Senior Leader, Mr. Abbott spent two years as the assistant principal at SA Harlem 4, managing Scholar Talent and kindergarten through second grade. He became principal at SA Hell’s Kitchen in 2020 and SA Upper West in 2021. Before joining the SA community, Mr. Abbott taught second grade in New Orleans with Teach for America, as well as with another network in Harlem. Raised in New York, Mr. Abbott holds a B.A. with Honors in Political Science from Hobart College, where he also played for the varsity soccer team. Outside of work, Mr. Abbott enjoys photography, playing soccer, and spending time with his friends and family.
