Ms. Tavarez grew up in the Bronx and joined SA Bronx 4 as a lead teacher in 2017 before serving as assistant principal at SA Bronx 2. Ms. Tavarez is now principal of SA Bronx 1 ES and MS. Prior to joining Success Academy, she taught kindergarten and second grade in Ohio and worked as a math specialist for grades three-six. She has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Baldwin Wallace University and a master’s degree in special education from Grand Canyon University. Outside of work, Ms. Tavarez enjoys traveling, hiking, and even has a motorcycle license!
