For the past six years, the SA Summer Experience Fellowship has enabled hundreds of our high schoolers to pursue their passions and interests — while also preparing them for the college application process and providing invaluable experience in NYC and beyond.
After undertaking a rigorous application process that mimics the one they will need to master for college admission, accepted scholars have the chance to participate in competitive STEM, humanities, arts, talent, and outdoor leadership opportunities. Many of these programs take place on college campuses across the U.S. readying scholars for collegiate life; others are overseas, allowing scholars to gain new, worldly perspectives during their experience. This year, scholars were allowed to identify and pitch programs that were of interest — these included The Debate Institute at Dartmouth College and Temple University Tyler Architecture Institute — and we are so proud of those who went above and beyond to ensure that their summers will be meaningful.
We believe this time is so important and transformational that Success Academy will cover the full cost of application fees, tuition, and room and board for scholars selected to participate in the SA Summer Experience program. Each year we are able to provide scholars’ access to these exceptional opportunities through the generous support of SA donors, advocates and our institutional partners.
Now, it is with great excitement that we announce the 2023 Summer Experience Fellows, and their respective programs, below!
